Operator - PT

Under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the Operator will perform all necessary job functions to ensure that the golf course is maintained at the highest level of quality possible at all times.
1. Basic understanding and knowledge of the game of golf
2. Must be able to understand written and spoken directions in English and / or Spanish
3. Must be able to work outside in extreme heat and all weather conditions.
4. Must be available to work afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays.
5. Must be able to safely perform minor manual labor; lifting up to 25lbs.
6. Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
7. Must have a valid driver's license
1. 1-4 years of previous golf course maintenance experience
2. Previous experience with mowing equipment and any other small engine landscape machines
1. Ability to safely operate mower fleet equipment for fairways, roughs and naturalized areas
2. Ability to drive an electric, gasoline or diesel powered utility cart or machine
1. Ability to use tractors and other large pieces of equipment
1. Mow fairways, roughs, tees, approaches while avoiding golfers
2. Ensure proper care of equipment after each shift, wash/wipe down machines
3. Blow debris or grass clippings as required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
