Description The Safety Coordinator's role is to work closely with the Safety Manager to maintain our safety culture for our office and field personnel to thrive and work efficiently without injury.
Job Duties USA North 811 tickets - Open/ Extend/ Maintain and communicate with customer.
Field inspections twice a week - ensure crew are wearing all PPE, inspect vehicles and equipment.
Yard inspections and reports (Report all hazards to Safety Manager) Monthly / Weekly Safety Meetings and pertinent documentation ( Management & Safety Manager to review and approve safety topic agenda) Crew certifications - Assign and follow up on trainings Maintain digital file for training videos / research safety materials and create training videos as needed.
Assist with customer requested documentation, MOP'S, JHA'S, JSA'S, Silica exposure control plans Etc.
Assist with new hire safety orientation.
Maintain Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) to date.
Assist with OSHA 300 logs.
Assist with incident investigations and disciplinary action as needed.
Assist with California Air Resources Board (CARB) related matters.
Assist with Santa Clara County related matters - Inspections / Documentation / Permits.
Assist with ISNetworld safety compliance acct.
Basic Requirements Valid California Driver License with clean driving record (no tickets, suspensions or DUI's) Strong written and verbal skills.
Punctual and reliable.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Attention to detail.
Have a go-getter mentality and have initiative.
Ability to hold people accountable.
This position includes assisting at job sites that involves heavy labor on occasion Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:
30AM - 5:
00PM.
Overtime and Saturday's required on occasion.
No phone calls or walk-ins please, not interested in recruiters or staffing agencies.
